The Unilever Federal Credit Union is participating with the New Jersey Credit Union League (NJCUL) to support "Operation Home Front," a program designed to improve the morale of New Jersey Army National Guard soldiers deployed to Iraq during 2008-2009.

The program was created by Adopt-A-Soldier Platoon, a 501 (c)(3) public charity based in Fair Lawn, NJ.  This organization has been supporting America's troops since April 2003. Local Credit Unions collect donations, food snacks and personal care items to be shipped to the soldiers in the Middle East by Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon.  Already, participating Credit Unions throughout NJ have helped send over 3,000 flight pillows to the NJ soldiers prior to their long flight to the Middle East.
